Norwich registrars relocate to more spacious office

Norwich - The Registrar of Voters Office has moved to the first floor at City Hall, occupying the former tax collector's office, which moved recently across the hall on the same floor.

Democratic Registrar Joann Merolla-Martin said the new office has more space and allows her and Republican Registrar Gerald Kortfelt to keep all files, equipment and voting machines in the office, rather than stored in the City Hall attic.

The office will keep the same hours, Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 7 p.m. It also has the same phone number, (860) 823-3754.

The former registrars' office on the second floor will be converted into conference rooms.
