Trendowski & Allen, P.C. is pleased to announce that Jan C. Trendowski has been selected for inclusion on the 2010 New England Super Lawyers list, and Gregory A. Allen has been selected for inclusion on the 2010 New England Rising Stars list, featuring outstanding young lawyers in New England. Only five percent of the attorneys in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine are chosen as Super Lawyers each year.

The selections for these designations are based on a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a state-wide survey of lawyers, independent evaluations and peer review of candidates, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.

Jan Trendowski founded the firm in 1996 and has had a varied and distinguished career as a trial attorney. He is highly regarded in the legal community for his litigation expertise, concentrating on personal injury, liquor liability and insurance coverage disputes. In addition, Jan represents clients before the Department of Consumer Protection, Liquor Control Division in both licensing matters and regulatory hearings. He lectures nationally on the topic of liquor liability and is the author of the Liquor Law Handbook for Connecticut Permittees, which has become a valuable resource for restaurant owners, insurance companies, attorneys, judges, and state agencies charged with responsibility for enforcing the Connecticut Liquor Control Act.

In addition to his legal and professional accomplishments, Jan is a Board Member and Legal Counsel for the Bikers Against Animal Cruelty. He is a natural rainmaker, friend, mentor and motivator; always inspiring employees and colleagues to achieve their goals.

Greg Allen joined the Firm after graduating from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2001. In addition to his litigation expertise, Greg practices before state probate courts handling conservator, guardian and children’s matters. He also handles residential and commercial real estate transactions and assists clients in starting their small businesses and resolving business law issues.

Greg has been a rising star in the Firm and the legal community. He became a partner in the Firm in 2007 and quickly took on the role of Managing Partner. In that role, he has taken on the responsibility of managing and marketing the Firm to develop the successful practice that it is today. Greg resides in Wallingford with his wife and three children, where he is also active in a variety of community activities.
