A bountiful supply of the region's finest folk and acoustic musicians will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday in Unity Hall at New London's All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church. The event is part of the Daniel Pearl World Music Days concert series staged to use the power of music to promote tolerance.
On the bill are Bruce McDermott, right, Maggie's Guitar, Pat Daddona, John "Woody" Wood, The Crew, Sue Mead and Dean Denis.
Pearl was the Wall Street Journal reporter - and violinist - kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan in 2002.
The foundation's website says, "There is no financial obligation to attend or participate ... and all musicians are welcome. World Music Days is an awareness-raising program, not a fundraiser."
The reader web chat with Mitchell Etess, Chief Executive Officer of the Mohegan Gaming Authority, was held on Thursday, May 24.
