Hanafin’s Public House in New London has been named the best Irish pub in Connecticut by irishbeerfinder.com. Hanafin's is a favorite among locals for a pint of beer with an Irish BLT or Shepherd's pie, and as a place to meet friends after work or the show.
Patrons of Irish pubs across the country were asked to go on the web site and review their favorites. Croagh Patrick’s Pub in Willoughby, Ohio, which received more than 3,000 reviews and received an overall rating of 5 out of 5, was named the best Irish pub in the country.
Here’s one of the reviews for Hanafin’s: “It is THE local bar. If you live around there or just passing through it is the kind of place that everyone loves. People are friendly, food is phenomenal, good music playing and the drinks are always flowing.”
