A screech owl visits the Mohegan School

Pippin, an eastern screech owl under the care of the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center in Mystic, visited with Jill Mazzaluppo's third grade classes recently. Mazzaluppo has been teaching the students about animals and their habitats during her reading and science programs. She wanted the students to have a hands-on experience with one of the creatures native to Connecticut.
