Westbrook High Schoolers, Callie Hagemeister and 3 friends, Carlin Huckel, Allison Lamarche, and Molly Bernstein, collected over 200 blankets and jackets for the homeless. They brought these contributions to the Jennie Clark Residence in NYC which houses 300 people, all families. "Many of these homeless people were adorable children with appreciative parents. With every blanket that was received by these people, we received appreciation in return," said Callie Hagemeister. She ran the project with the help of her friends and the community. "You really realize that you don't need money to be happy once you see these people," said Callie.
