Gov.-elect Dan Malloy and U.S. Sen.-elect Richard Blumenthal will visit Muddy Waters Café in New London tonight.
Malloy and Blumenthal will be on hand from 6 to 8 p.m. to greet city residents and voters at the café, located at 42 Bank St. in downtown.
Malloy, the former mayor of Stamford, is the first Democrat to be elected governor of Connecticut since William A. O'Neill in 1986.
Blumenthal, a Democrat who has served as attorney general since 1991, succeeds Sen. Chris Dodd, who did not seek re-election and will depart after 36 years representing Connecticut and the 2nd Congressional District in Congress.
