Ledyard — Drew Doyle made back-to-back 3-pointers to start overtime and finished with 17 points to lead Fitch High School past Ledyard on Monday, 66-58, in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Large Division boys' basketball game.
Fitch made 16 of 29 free throws. The Colonels shot 6 of 12 from the line.
Kwame Cole scored 12 points for the Falcons (10-4, 4-2).
Mike Brannan and Bobby Chestnut each had 15 points for Ledyard (1-12, 0-6).
In other games:
• Ed Kopacz scored 24 points to lead Tourtellotte to a 48-47 win over Griswold in the ECC Small. Zach Wood had 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead Griswold, which trailed by 14 with six minutes left. The Wolverines (6-8, 4-3) cut the lead to one on a Cameron McCormack 3-pointer with 15 seconds remaining, but missed a potential game-winning shot with less than a second left. Griswold defeated Tourtellotte (10-3, 4-2) by the same 48-47 score earlier in the season.
• Tucker Norman had 10 points and 10 rebounds and Drew Watson had 16 points as Williams downed MacDuffie, 67-34. Rashad Young had 14 points, Aaron Hosking scored 12 and Oliver Sherman and Peter Schavoir each had seven assists for Williams (2-10).
• Bryan Jones scored 22 points for Christian Heritage as it beat St. Thomas More, 67-53. Thomas Whipple had 13 points and 12 rebounds for T-More (7-6) and Javon Thorbourne had 12 points. Also, Matt Midder had six points and 10 rebounds and Keith Bentley had six points and six rebounds.
Girls
• Kayla McAvoy had 13 points and 12 rebounds as Old Saybrook beat Westbrook, 62-29, in a Shoreline Conference game and qualified for the CIAC Class S tournament. Kelly Ratchford had 10 points and seven assists for Old Saybrook (8-8) and Taylor Beck had 11 points. Beth Morrison added 10 points.
• Sonia Woods had 16 points and Elise Beauprez added 14 points as Old Lyme beat Hale-Ray of East Haddam in overtime, 56-46, in the Shoreline. Lyla Stanland had 11 points for Old Lyme (7-9).
• Lexis Foster had 13 points, nine rebounds and four blocks to lead Fitch past Ledyard, 55-41, in the ECC Large. Aunisha Dillon had 16 points for Fitch (11-5, 4-3). Olivia DelGrosso scored 11 for the Colonels (5-11, 1-6).
• New London was held to just three third-quarter points in a 61-48 loss to Sport Sciences of Hartford. Chanel Johnson scored a game-high 25 points and Tamia DeBarros-Cannon had nine points and eight rebounds for the Whalers (3-13).
• Stacie Savage had 10 points, five rebounds and four steals to lead Lyman over Wheeler, 41-29, in the ECC Small. Emily Peay added four points, six rebounds and four blocked shots for Lyman (6-8, 3-2). Annie Luckhardt finished with 12 points and nine rebounds for Wheeler (3-12, 0-7).
• Audra Spellman and Dazjavia Williams each scored 11 points as Kaynor Tech of Waterbury beat Norwich Tech, 48-23, in the Constitution State Conference. Jailyn Ramos had eight points and five assists, Kaitlyn Mitchell had seven points and Tiara Sheffield had 10 rebounds for Norwich Tech (0-14).
• Capri DeBiccari had 14 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocked shots as Williams defeated Providence Country Day, 52-9. Emily Benson added 12 points for Williams (2-8).
