On Monday, I wrote about two great local youngsters who won the statewide 4-H public speaking contest. What was so compelling about their wins was the stories behind their speeches.
Now, you have the chance to hear Kalyn Bomster and Helene Donahue present their speeches live.
The Rotary Club of the Stoningtons will host the two girls at 7 a.m. this Friday, March 25 during its regular meeting at La Grua Center in Stonington Borough.
Here are more directions and information, courtesy of Jeffrey Choquette:
We meet Friday morning at 7:00am at the LaGrua Center at 32 Water Street in Stonington Borough (http://www.lagruacenter.org/). All are welcome, however there are parking restrictions so please advise people to park in the adjacent lot that they will see directly in front of them when they pull into the center. The easiest set of directions that I give people, is to go over the bridge into the Borough then follow water street until you see Cannon Sqaure on your left, then take the right directly across from the cannons. The center is the big stone building in the middle of the green.
