From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, the third annual Griswold Food Drive will be held, organizer Hiedi Nordstrom said.
The event will be in the parking lot of Town Hall at 28 Main Street, Jewett City.
Nordstrom said last year's drive raised $1,700 in monetary donations and "truckloads" of non-perishable items for St. Mary's Food Pantry in Jewett City and the St. Vincent de Paul Place in Norwich. The donated money and goods are split between the two organizations.
She said 10 volunteers came out to help last year but she's hoping for as many as 15 this year.
Arremony's Bakery, Joe D's and Jewett City Pizza Palace will donate food for volunteers as well, she said.
"We call it 'families feeding families,'" Nordstrom said. "It doesn't matter what pantry we fill, our point is we know how much of a need it is. It's everybody coming together."
