James L. Gueltzow of Westerly has been appointed vice president, Connecticut regional manager-mortgage banking, at Washington Trust.
He will be headquartered at the bank's main office at 23 Broad St. in Westerly. He will be responsible for expanding Washington Trust's residential lending presence in Connecticut.
Before joining Washington Trust, Gueltzow had 15 years of mortgage banking experience, including running mortgage operations throughout the United States and Canada, most recently as site director of Accredited Home Lenders' San Diego, Calif., office. He attended Eastern Connecticut State University and received his Connecticut state appraisal license from the University of Connecticut.
