Waterford - The potential developer of the former Seaside Regional Center site is seeking a zone change that would no longer require the property to be age-restricted housing and would allow new buildings that do not feature design elements from the existing historical structures on the campus.
The Planning and Zoning Commission Monday formally accepted the zone change request from developer Mark Steiner. The sale of the property to Steiner is pending approval from the state attorney general's office.
A public hearing is scheduled for June 13. First Selectman Daniel Steward declined to comment.
