A benefit concert is being held on June 10, at Guilford's Knights of Columbus Hall, 390 South Union Street. All profits will go to the American Red Cross disaster relief to help those affected by the tornadoes that have hit our nation in the south. The concert is going to feature a lot of great local talent.
Headlining the show are The Monumentos, the award winning, up-and-coming Alt Rock band from Guilford. The Monumentos will be playing a full set of hard-driving dance tunes guaranteed to get the crowd on their feet. Also performing at the show are CT rock legends Thumbs Up Get Down. This group is the reformed Dr. Rocktopus and they will be playing their first local show under their new band name. Thumbs Up Get Down plays superior Alt Electronica dance rhythms. Thumbs Up Get Down will be touring throughout New England during summer 2011.
Also on the bill are Rena Surrenders, known for their unique sound, exciting stage presence, and energized crowds. This is an Alt Rock show you will not want to miss.
This is a show for all ages and a great opportunity for rock fans craving awesome live music with all their friends. And all profits from the show will support tornado relief in the South.
