What's better than a glass of cold refreshing lemonade on a hot day?
How about this:
Great Neck School second grade student Haley Trehern will be selling lemonade this Saturday and Sunday at 60 Goshen Road in Waterford and all the proceeds will be going toward the battle against pediatric cancer
Haley's stand is part of the national Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation which has raised more than $40 million since 2004.
And according to Haley's father Paul Trehern her daughter is quite exited about the prospect of raising money for her fellow kids.
" The best part came when I told her that she wouldn't be able to keep the money she raised but
that she would donate it to help sick kids with cancer," he said. Her eyes lit up and she replied 'That's even better than keeping the money'."
So, you can visit Haley on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.
