Howdy,

Tough Saturday for 2012 Summer Olympic host Great Britain as lost to Turkey, 64-57.

Johannah Leedham (Connecticut's 2010 third-round pick) shot 4-of-11 for 11 points for Great Britain (1-4). It cannot qualify for the quarterfinals and concludes tournament play Monday against Russia.

Russia would advance to the quarters with a win.

Spain plays Croatia Sunday in what is a quarterfinal eliminator. Alba Torrens (the Sun's 2009 third-round pick) has averaged a team-high 16.2 points for Spain.

Defending champion France plays Poland today. It has already clinched a quarterfinal berth. Sandrine Gruda has averaged a team-high 13.4 points and six rebounds for Les Bleues. She played three years for El Sol.

Unbeaten Montenegro continues its glorious tournament run Sunday against Latvia.

Vaya con dios….
