Howdy,
Los Angeles' Candace Parker injured her knee with about six minutes left in Sunday's 77-67 loss at New York. Parker limped to the locker room and didn't return.
Sparks coach Jennifer Gillom told the Associated Press that Parker was headed back to Los Angeles for an MRI on Monday.
Parker only played 10 games last season after injuring her shoulder.
Los Angeles plays at Connecticut Tuesday in a nationally televised game on ESPN2 (8 p.m.)

It was a real bad Sunday for Alba Torrens and Spain. They gave up 14 straight points to Croatia in the fourth quarter and lost, 75-71, eliminating them from the tournament.
Spain led 61-54 with less than six minutes in the game when Croatia went on its run.
Torrens missed all 13 of her shots and scored two points.
Spain's loss means that Atlanta's Sancho Lyttle will be headed back to the states. That's bad news for the rest of the WNBA.
Sandrine Gruda and France rallied late to beat Poland, 58-54, and advanced to the quarterfinals.
Poland led, 52-45, with four minutes left in the game when France scored nine unanswered points.
Gruda shot 5-of-9 for 11 points with four rebounds.
Finally, unbeaten Montenegro edged Latvia, 74-70. Jelena Dubljevic had 24 points, 11 rebounds and six assists for Montenegro.
Johannah Leedham and Great Britain conclude tournament play Monday against Russia. Great Britain has been eliminated from advancing to the quarterfinals.
