Clinton resident Janine Fay, R.N., M.P.H., has been named president and CEO of VNA Community Healthcare, replacing the retired Susan Faris, R.N.
Fay has worked in the home health field for 15 years, providing direct patient care and holding management positions in public health agencies, free-standing hospice agencies, hospital based home care and free-standing visiting nurse associations.
She also spent seven years specializing in hospice care and has spent the last 13 years as vice president of patient services at VNA Community Healthcare.
"We have an extraordinary group of employees who work together in a committed and meaningful way…enabling the organization to meet the challenges of the future," Fay said.
VNA Community Healthcare is a non-profit agency and the town visiting nurse association for Hamden, North Haven, Guilford and Madison.
It provides at-home nursing; physical, occupational, speech therapies; social work; maternal child health and home health aide services throughout greater New Haven and Middlesex counties.
It also offers an array of community and corporate wellness programs, as well as a Caregiver Resource Center in Old Saybrook.
The reader web chat with Mitchell Etess, Chief Executive Officer of the Mohegan Gaming Authority, was held on Thursday, May 24.
