Madison Chamber Offers Awards at Annual Dinner

The Madison Chamber of Commerce's annual Awards and Installation Dinner took place on June 14 at Wood Winds in Branford. The event was sponsored by major benefactors Guilford Savings Bank and HBC Consulting as well as sponsors Essex Savings Bank, Liberty Bank, and The Source.

Member of the Year was presented to Ryan Duques of W.D. Enterprises, Business of the Year was awarded to Café Allegre, New Member Business of the Year to Sonas Med Spa, and Citizen of the Year went to Police Chief Jack Drumm.

The new Board of Directors was also installed at the event, including officers President Lisa Miksis of The Source, President-Elect Janet Connolly of The Audubon Shop, Vice President Clare Dube of HBC Consulting & CMD Realty, Secretary Beth McDevitt of The Madison Beach Hotel, and Treasurer Susan Brady of Guilford Savings Bank

Directors installed were Kim Chorney of Madison Investment Center, Carolyn Flynn of Peoples United Bank, Judy Guard of Savvy Tea Gourmet, Michael Hafford of Scranton Seahorse Inn, Eileen Johnson of the Gunnar Johnson Select School of Dancing, Kathy Dann of The Hearth at Tuxis Pond, Dr. John Mastrobattisto of Shoreline Chiropractic Center, Susan O'Malley, M.D., of Sonas Med Spa, Anne-Marie Pagli of Wm. Raveis Real Estate, Ed Pellegrino of Coldwell Banker Real Estate, Merrilee Shannon of Merrilee Shannon, CPA, and Carlene Weis of Jolie Boutique. Craig Bernard of Madison Investment Center will continue to serve on the board as past president and Eileen Banisch will continue to serve as executive director.
