Bonnie Alexander's new aviary has been completed outside her Guilford home. Bonnie, a 2011 Person of the Week, needed the new space to continue her volunteer work as wildlife rehabilitator of birds of the shoreline. The  Menunkatuck Audubon Society raised $ 525, including a $100 donation from The Guilford Garden Club.   The rest of the money was raised at a spring fundraiser at Meig's Point Nature Center at Hammonasset State Park.  Menunkatuck members helped remove of the old cage in Bonnie's back yard while Todd Secki (of A Place Called Hope), constructed the new aviary. Great job everyone!
