The town is in the "monitoring" stage for Hurricane Irene, with an Everbridge phone call expected to made today (Friday, Aug. 26) with more details. Town officials are asking residents to "....please be prepared for the worst but hope for the least!" If and when the Town's Emergency Operation Center is activated/opened, the following phone numbers can be used to contact the EOC: 203-484-9549, 203-484-2196, 203-484-2583 and 203-484-9538. The activation/opening of the EOC will be posted at www.townofnorthbranfordct.com website, as well as via an Everbridge (phone) notification. Those same two means will be used to get the word out regarding an emergency shelters that may be opened should the need to evacuate neighborhoods arise.
