Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center will sponsor, "Healthy Living Through Prevention," on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, 2 Bridge St., Old Saybrook.
Humorist Mary Ellen Rinaldi will provide the keynote address, "Life Lessons through Laughter." Breakout sessions include "Tai Chi: A Moving Meditation for Health," with Dennis McCann, Ph.D.; and "Sound Healing," presented by Ron D'Amico and Joan Emmons.
There will also be information available about promoting health and well-being and the benefits of integrative medicine through a variety of exhibits.
Attendees can enjoy brief integrative therapy sessions first hand, including reflexology, Reiki, and chair massage. The event is a free, community benefit program of Middlesex Hospital and is open to the public.
