Dear Little Lady,
You are only 6 weeks old and already I worry about you more than your brother.
Not so much now, but when you are 10, 12, a teenager. And I worry more about us,
you and me and our relationship, than I do about you brother and me.
You, little girl, scare me. I want so much for you to be happy every day. I want you
to not only love me, which you are required to do, but like me (most of the time!). I
want you to want to come to me, want to talk to me when you are having problems.
I want you to want me in your life for the big things, but more so the little ones. In
20 years, I want to be able to say you are my friend and I want nothing more than
to be able to say I got this right.
I want you to feel beautiful every single day. I want you to be confident and strong.
I want you to be kind. I want you to love yourself as much as I love you.
You are a blessing in my life and I hope more than anything that one day you will
think the same of me.
I love you,
Mommy
