Check that born-on date before you buy

Wondering how old that beer is that you're thinking of buying? Well, there's an app for that.

Some beers clearly print either the date the beer was brewed or the date you should purchase it by on each bottle. But many have alphanumeric codes, like JH12A088, that mean something to distributors and retailers but nothing to consumers.

Until now.

Enter that code into iPhone's MiBeerAge app, and it will calculate the age in days of any bottle or can of beer. The MiBeerAge creators suggest you try to buy beer that is less than 30 days old for optimum taste and avoid brews more than 120 days old.
