What are the major issues for your town? Taxes are the majior issue. In the reality of todays poor economic climate, all branches of government must spend the taxpayers dollars wisely. Doing that, to the best of our abilities, is our most important and most challenging job.
What makes you the best candidate for this office? I am running for my second term because, I feel that I still have much to give to the Schools and the Community. With the new requiement and mandates from the State and Federal Goverments, there is enougth unfinished work ahead that needs experienced School Board members.
What was the last book you read, and what did you think of it? The last book I read was for a CABE Leadership institute I attended in FEB. The book Schools Cannot Do It Alone, by Jamie Vollmer was an eye opening read. It helped me clarify some of my own feelings and ideas about the direction education needs to take to prepare our students for todays workforce. I enjoyed the Book and the training, and look forward to working on the Montville Board of Education if the voters want me to.
