New London — The New London Green Party has announced that the Southeastern Connecticut Central Labor Council, affiliated with the AFL-CIO, has endorsed Green Party candidates Mirna Martinez and Ronna Stuller for the New London Board of Education, and Joan Sullivan-Cooper for City Council.

The local labor council represents more than 25,000 in both the public and private sectors.

The Green Party is committed to grassroots democracy, social and economic justice, sustainability, and nonviolence. Due to their firm belief that government should be accountable to its citizens, New London Green Party candidates do not accept contributions from corporations, lobbyists, political action committees or labor unions.
