New London - Kerry Watters helds her newborn son Jaykwon Watters Friday at L&M Hospital. Jaykwon, 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 19.5 inches was born at 11:11 a.m. after over 12-hours of labor.

Kerry Watters said she entered the hospital on Thursday after her physician decided she needed to have labor induced due to gestational diabetes and labored through the night only to find herself about to deliver at 11 a.m.

"We looked at the clock and it was 11:09 and my sisters started yelling 'push' and out he popped," said Watters. Jaykwon is Kerry's third child, joining her 13-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter in the family. Backus Hospital's birthing center reported one birth on Friday and Westerly reported none as of 5 p.m.. L&M had five births, including Jaykwon, as of 5 p.m. with one more anticipated before midnight.
