Henderson

William C. and June (Foster) Henderson of Mystic were honored on October 8th by family and friends at Old Mystic Baptist Church, celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

Mr. and Mrs. Henderson were married at Noank Baptist Church on October 13, 1951 by The Reverend William Miller. A vow renewal ceremony was performed by their grandson, Pastor Rodney Henderson of Johnstown, Pa.

Their children are William C. "Chuck" Henderson Jr. and his wife, Lisa, and Reg E. Henderson and his wife Pam. Their grandchildren and great grandchildren were also in attendance. They are Rod Henderson, son of Reg and Pam, his wife Brooke, and their children, Annie, Violet and Noelle, and Mary Henderson, daughter of Chuck and Lisa, and her fiancé, Josh Berube.

Mr. Henderson retired from SNET in 1989, then worked for WalMart for 12 years, retiring in 2009. Mrs. Henderson retired from Americal Corp. having worked in medical products supervision for many years.

Mr. and Mrs. Henderson have traveled to many countries around the world, including all of Europe, Scotland, Ireland, Pompeii, Hawaii, Egypt, China and Hong Kong.
