Lipata - O'Connor

On Nov. 17, 2010 Fredilyn Manalo Lipata and Kevin Michael O'Connor were married on the island of Antigua. After a private ceremony the couple enjoyed their honeymoon at Sandals Resorts.

The bride is the daughter of Fred and Lydia Lipata of Goose Creek, S.C.

The groom is the son of Bob and Cathy O'Connor of East Lyme.

A reception with family and friends was held at Ocean Beach Park in New London on Dec. 4. Also attending the celebration were the brother of the groom, David O'Connor and his wife Karyn Lyman along with their son, Zachary; and the sister and brother of the bride, Kathleen Lipata and Alfred Lipata.

The bride is a graduate of Goose Creek High School and College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. She received her MD degree from The University of South Carolina School of Medicine and went on to do a pathology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Currently a captain and pathologist in the Air Force, Fredilyn is stationed at Lackland Air Force Base.

The groom is a graduate of East Lyme High School, Mitchell College and the University of Connecticut. Kevin is a Class A PGA Professional and was an assistant pro at the Old Lyme Country Club. He is currently employed at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort in San Antonio as an assistant golf pro.

Kevin and Fredilyn are currently residing in San Antonio, Tx. with their dogs, Brady and Enzo.
