There's more than one way to eat well if the results of the recent Healthy Soup Competition at Advantage Personal Training in Mystic is any indicator.

The Nov. 11 event sent several of owner Greg Drab's clients and trainers as well as local restauranteurs into their test kitchens to come up with soup recipes that are good for the body.

A popular vote among the many tasters who attended the event determined the three winners: first place went to Andy Madsen of Mystic Soup Company, who made a root vegetable soup; Marianne Mastronunzio took second place with her black bean pumpkin soup; and third place went to trainer Michael Richards for his white-truffle-infused roasted apple butternut soup.
