Sarah E. Torchio and Bryon E. Beckwith were married on July 17, 2011 at The Water's Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook. Ed Domnarski, uncle of the bride, officiated the ceremony.
Sarah is the daughter of Ray and Kathy Torchio of Plantsville. She graduated from Saint Joseph College with a master's degree in elementary education. She also has a bachelor's degree in special education and elementary education. Sarah is a language arts teacher in East Hampton.
Bryon is the son of Ed and Paul Beckwith of Niantic, grandson of Mary F. Levanti and the late Peter R. Levanti of East Lyme. Bryon is a firefighter at Poquonnock Bridge Fire Dept. in Groton.
Attending the bride was Laura Torchio as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kerry Lorusso, Kaylee Gammon, Jill Ruggeri, June St. Germain and Meredith Louchen.
The best man was Tim Johnson. Groomsmen were Spencer Beers, Eric Booth, Pete Levanti and Bill Rix.
The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia.
