Sure Black Friday's big-box store frenzy is fun (depends on your definition of fun, right?) but on Saturday, Nov. 26, don't forget to go out to your local merchants in support of Small Business Saturday! Remember, these are the folks who support so many community programs and events all year long, buying ads in programs and donating countless gifts and gift cards to silent auctions, raffles and so on. Add the convenience of finding neat gifts in your own town with the gas savings vs. traveling to that distant mall -- not to mention traffic jams -- and it truly becomes a no-brainer.
