First Selectman Paul Formica and other elected officials will be sworn into office this Monday at 3 p.m. during a ceremony to be held at East Lyme High School.
According to Formica, who will begin his third term as the town’s chief executive, the high school was selected as the inauguration venue because it would “a symbol of a united government.”
Formica said ELHS students who helped moderate the candidates’ debate during the election run-up will give speeches.
Culinary students at ELHS plan to cater the event and members of the school band will provide entertainment.
The event is open to the public and should last roughly two hours.
