The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus begins their spring semester with auditions on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, and first rehearsal on January 25th. Auditions and rehearsals take place at the First Congregational Church in New London, in the dining hall at the rear of the church. Singers should bring music for their audition, such as a hymn or short classical piece. Show music is not appropriate. New singers are always welcome to audition. Mark Singleton conducts the chorus, consisting of 75 auditioned singers which rehearse every Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. at the First Congregational Church. On April 28, 2012, the chorus will appear with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra at the Garde Arts Center in a performance of Vaughn Williams’ A Sea Symphony under the direction of ECSO Music Director & Conductor, Toshiyuki (Toshi) Shimada. To schedule an audition, or for more information, please contact chorus president Sheri Pellerin at ecscpresident@gmail.com.
