I Have A Parasite

Luckily this parasite is way cuter than the run-of-the-mill variety. This parasite weighs in at about 14-15 pounds. She is truly AH-dorable. I love her so much that there are not enough kisses and hugs in the world. She is the happiest little girl. A chunk with rolls I never thought I would see on a child of ours. She is currently perfecting her mouth farts and her laughs. She already has opinions and likes to make them known. Today also happens to be her four-month birthday. I DO NOT have the slightest idea where the time has gone. But apparently we have spent the last four months becoming inseparable.

I mean, it makes sense. One hundred twenty days, give or take, where 95% of her day is spent with me, on me, attached to me, held by me, sleeping on me. She loves me. A lot. More than anyone else. Yesterday, The Hubbs and I went Christmas shopping and left the kiddos with the in-laws for about three hours. It seems my parasite was not happy to be apart and screamed her bloody head off for the majority of that time. And did not take a bottle. Oh, and completely stopped crying within seconds of being returned to my arms.

I love being loved so completely and being so needed. Truly. I would be totally OK with this whole situation except for one small problem - I go back to work in three weeks (which warrants a blog in and of itself...sit tight, I can't think about it yet). I go back to work in three weeks and my parasite wants NOTHING to do with anyone else but me. She tolerates her father, but I think she knows he is just a middle man she needs to go through to get back into my arms.

I have a Momma's boy and I love it. I had already told myself that my Little Lady would probably be a Daddy's girl and I would have to be OK with it. I guess I was wrong. I guess I have a Momma's girl too. I guess the next few weeks are going to cause me a lot more stress then I was prepared to deal with as we get ready to make this transition.
