New London - A Quaker Hill man accused of possessing hundreds of images of child pornography on his home computer pleaded not guilty Wednesday when he appeared in the New London courtroom where major crimes are heard.
Curtis T. Lundfelt, 31, of 10 Richard Grove Road was charged last month with illegally importing and possessing child pornography following an investigation by town, state and federal authorities. He is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond at the Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Institution and has retained East Lyme attorney Jeffrey A. McNamara. His court file indicates that Lundfelt was working in maintenance at Mohegan Sun at the time of his arrest.
Waterford Police began investigating after being notified that a Monroe police detective conducting an on-line investigation had discovered images of child pornography from an Internet address that eventually was traced to Lundfelt. The Monroe detective said the user from that address had shared 450 images of child pornography containing file names such as “9yo,” “Lolita” and “preteen,” with others on-line.
Waterford Police and an FBI agent searched Lundfelt’s home in November and found a homemade computer in a basement bedroom. At the scene, the computer was analyzed and found to contain images of child pornography, including one image depicting child bestiality, according to the warrant application.
The reader web chat with Mitchell Etess, Chief Executive Officer of the Mohegan Gaming Authority, was held on Thursday, May 24.
