UConn coach Jim Calhoun needs your support for a worthy cause.

Calhoun is one of 48 Division I college basketball coaches participating in the Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge.

The winner receives a $100,000 donation from Infiniti toward his designated charity.

You can help by voting for Calhoun in the bracket style competition. Fans determine the eventual winner during an eight-week process.

Here’s how it works: four brackets of 12 coaches will compete for the first six weeks. Group winners advance to the next round in week seven and the final round will be held in week eight. The winner will be crowned on March 9.

Fans can vote starting today after registering on the following website: www.ESPN.com/Infiniti.

Calhoun’s designated charity is listed as The UConn Foundation, Inc.’s Jim and Pat Calhoun Cardiology Research Endowment Fund for the University of Connecticut.

Some other coaches competing include: Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim, West Virginia’s Bob Huggins, Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, North Carolina’s Roy Williams and Villanova’s Jay Wright.

So cast your vote today for coach Calhoun.
