Plainfield – A Moosup woman died Monday after the SUV she rode in crashed into a school bus, police said.
Plainfield Police said Nancy Henderson, 54, of Goshen Road, was killed when Edward Henderson lost control of a Toyota SUV as they headed southbound on Starkweather Road. At 12:17 p.m. the vehicle struck a northbound school bus carrying driver Jodi Cameron and a 5-year-old passenger, police said; neither was injured.
Nancy Henderson was taken to The William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Police could not say how or whether the two Hendersons are related.
Plainfield police say the crash remains under investigation.
