Killingly - Montville High School's Tommy Wynoski went 4-0 at 108 pounds Saturday, including a 13-10 decision over former state place-winner Timmy Phongsamphanh of Killingly, as the Indians swept the Killingly Duals.
Montville beat Ellis Tech 78-6, Seymour 66-12 and St. Bernard 78-0 before topping Killingly 43-22 for the title. Phongsamphanh was third in Class M last season for Ellis Tech.
Also going 4-0 for the Indians (17-5) were Jake Caskey (126 pounds), Kyle Looney (132), Nick Bellerose (138), Dan Kurasz (170), Devin Bedard (182), McKenzie Mahn (195) and Ryan Murtha (heavyweight).
In other matches:
• Fifth-ranked Ledyard swept No. 6 Fairfield Warde (40-25), No. 11 Bristol Eastern (43-27) and East Lyme (69-6) in a quad-meet at Fairfield Warde.
Matt Jones (126), Brandon Finney (138), Thomas Finney (145), Alex Manwaring (160), Mike Spellman (183) and Josh Lawrence (220) won three matches each for Ledyard (19-1), with Brandon Finney and Lawrence earning three pins each.
Kareem Small won at decision at 106 for East Lyme, as did Alex Cusano at 170.
Boys' basketball
• Rashad Young scored 21 points as Williams School won its first game of the season, beating Fishers Island 51-40. Tucker Norman scored eight for Williams (1-10) and Dick Hoch and Charlie Backhaus scored nine each for Fishers Island (4-3).
• Matt Midder scored 25 points and had 10 rebounds to lead St. Thomas More to a 70-50 win over Northfield-Mt. Hermon. Javon Thorbourne had 16 points, five rebounds and five steals and Allante Crocker scored 11 for St. Thomas More (6-6).
