"Exquisite" is a perfectly gorgeous sounding word with an appropriate definition of "flawless" or "beautiful." But it was ruined for many of us by the villain Egghead on the "Batman" television series. Played by Vincent Price, he pronounced the word "EGG-skwisit" and it was always bad and annoying.
No more! At the Six Summit Gallery in Ivoryton, several artists have teamed up for "Exquisite," a lovely exhibition of works depicting colorful flora and fauna. Participating artists include Mary Frey, Deborah Dancy, Kathryn Myers, Ann Hogdon-Cyr, Heather Whitehouse, Melanie Car, Kaitlin Archambault and Sherrie Parenteau.
Opening reception is 6-11 p.m. Saturday, with live music and door prizes. Through March 10 at the gallery at 6 Summit St. Hours 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Wed. and Sat., 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Thurs., 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Fri., noon-5 p.m. Sun.; (860) 581-8332, sixsummitgallery.com.
