Montville — Oakdale Elementary School is one of 22 schools statewide selected for a State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) that aims to boost literacy skills and foster a positive school environment for all students.
The program was based on a $4.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education and will ultimately include 100 schools. The program is designed to help students with disabilities, minority students and students learning English as a second language.
