Mitchell College announces a collaborative project with New London's Provenance Center and Operation 21st Century, based at Connecticut College, that addresses modern-day slavery.
"We Must Open The Doors" kicks off Monday, Feb. 6, at 5 p.m. in the Mitchell College Library and will feature the Provenance Center's founder and president, Nadesha Mijoba, and guest speaker Janet Tso, founder of Operation 21st Century (OPT21). The event will include OPT21's human exhibit "Operation Silence" and a clip from the film "The Silent Revolution," which introduces the concepts of modern-day slavery.
On Tuesday, March 6, a second installation entitled "Human Exploitation: A Path of Awareness and Action" will feature the work of fine artist Laurencia Ciprus.
