The California-based clean energy firm SolarCity said Tuesday it is opening an office in Hartford, offering one-stop shopping for a wide range of services, including the installation of solar panels and energy-efficiency evaluations. The company said its services will be available initially only to Connecticut Light & Power and United Illuminating customers starting later this month.
SolarCity offers customers the choice of paying only for the initial setup of solar systems or having the panels installed for free but then paying for the electricity they generate. For more information, go to www.solarcity.com or call 1 (888) SOL-CITY.
