Not content with waging class warfare by misleading people about the correct tax rates we all pay, now President Obama has declared war on religion. Catholic hospitals, Catholic charities and even the University of Notre Dame will be required to provide insurance policies offering free contraception and sterilization for their employees, which is in direct conflict with Catholic religious beliefs.
Maybe now some of the 54 percent of Catholics who voted for Obama in 2008 will realize they made a mistake. Notre Dame, whose president awarded Obama an honorary degree a few years ago, is threatened with massive fines if it does not install the mandated health plan for its 5,229 employees. The First Amendment to the Constitution states that "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
By virtue of this new mandate Catholics are being denied their constitutional right to the free exercise of their religion. Obviously Obama, who claims he studied constitutional law for 10 years while at Harvard, actually studied ways to subvert, twist and make ineffective those parts of the Constitution he does not like.
