New London — New London High School senior Kris Dunn was named Thursday to the prestigious McDonald's All-American boys' basketball team.
Dunn, a 6-foot-3 guard, will play for the East team in the game that will be held March 28 in Chicago.
"I was definitely excited," Dunn said of his reaction when he learned the news. "It's a great achievement."
Dunn, who will play next season for Providence College, is averaging about 32 points per game for the Whalers.
