Daniel Canavan of Northeast Utilities has been elected chairperson of Operation Fuel's board of directors.
Canavan, who previously served as vice chair, has been on Operation Fuel's board since 2009.
In addition, several new board members have been elected including John Bowman of F.F. Hitchcock Oil Co., Timothy Cole of the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Board, Renee DiNino of Clear Channel Radio Connecticut, Paul Pendergast of the University of Connecticut, and Matt Service of Service Internet Solutions LLS.
Operation Fuel is a private, nonprofit statewide program that provides emergency energy assistance to lower-income families and individuals.
