Christ Lutheran Church, 24 Society Road, Niantic, recently held the initial celebratory event commemorating their 50 year anniversary as a parish in East Lyme. This celebration also honored Jeanette Bouges who is an original charter member and has served as an organist at the church for the last 50 years, and who will be retiring this year. She was presented with a beautifully inscribed clock and a cake during Fellowship Hour.

Christ Lutheran Church, which was founded in 1962, initially met at the Flanders Fire House before moving to their current location. There will be several events over the next year as the Celebration continues. Watch for dates of the future events. All are welcome.
