The Crystal Mall on Tuesday said four new retailers plan to open their doors this spring at the Waterford shopping complex, including a cupcakes boutique and a grilled subs shop.
The mall, owned by the Simon Property Group Inc., said the new stores are Best Buy Mobile, Yellowbird Cupcakes, Charley's Grilled Sub and Brow Art 23. The new shops will open in April, according to a statement from the Route 85 mall.
The mall is undergoing an extensive renovation, which mall officials said is nearing completion. Karen Tarantino, the mall's general manager, said the indoor shopping complex welcomes the new retailers, which will add increased variety and new dining options to its roster of retailers and dining establishments.
Best Buy Mobile, which will offer mobile and electronic services, plans to open its doors at the mall in April on the lower level. Brow Art 23, which also plans to open in April on the mall's lower level outside of its food court, is a licensed eyebrow threading boutique offering a wide range of beauty and skin-care services.
Charley's Grilled Subs will open that month, as well, and will be located in the food court. It will feature cheesesteak sandwiches, grilled sandwiches, wraps and other types of sandwiches.
Yellowbird Cupcakes will offer high-end cupcakes in a variety of flavors, sizes and themes, along with beverages. The shop plans to open in April and will be located on the mall's upper level, outside the JC Penney retailer.
Crystal Mall, which is this region's largest shopping complex covering 775,000 square feet, is anchored by Penney's, as well as Sears, the Christmas Tree Shops and Bed Bath & Beyond. The mall includes more than 125 specialty retailers.
