Norwich — Police arrested two men Saturday for allegedly stealing copper from a vacant house after an anonymous caller reported seeing a person on the roof of the building.
Responding to house, police found the men with a large bag containing tools and copper wiring, which had been removed from the house.
Caley Watts-Pierson, 30, of 10 Gilmour St., and Bruce Grisafe, 39, of no certain address, were each charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny, first-degree criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools.
Grisafe was also wanted on two outstanding warrants: failure to appear in court, and violation of probation.
Both men are being held $10,000 bonds pending arraignment Tuesday at GA 21. Grisafe was also held on two separate bonds of $10,000 and $2,500 for the two arrest warrants.
Police said the arrest were made possible as a result of a call from an alert citizen who was concerned about a neighboring property.
