Academic and Extracurricular Achievements

• Meghan Mastriano was one of 12 seniors inducted into the Mu Alpha Theta National Mathematics Honor Society at Sacred Heart Academy.

• Sacred Heart Academy recently held its first Science National Honor Society Induction (SNHS.) Kathy Xuof was inducted into the Society.

• Ron Criscuolo, son of Rosemarie Criscuolo and grandson of Connie Criscuolo, was awarded a bachelor of arts in English with a concentration in international studies, cum laude, from Boston College. He is a graduate of Notre Dame High School in West Haven. At Boston College, he was a resident assistant and worked in the John J. Burns Library of Rare Books & Special Collections. In September, he began his education at Villanova University Law School, where he will pursue a career in either international or criminal law.

• Daniel Schmidt played the role of Tobias Ragg in Albertus Magnus College's Act2 Theatre production of Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

• Joseph Melillo Middle School congratulates recent students of the month Adam Perotti (sixth grade), Liliana Ramirez (seventh grade), and Kush Patel (eighth grade). The school's teachers call Perotti "a conscientious young man" and "an excellent role model to his peers;" Liliana Ramirez "a model of good citizenship who strives to succeed academically;" and Kush Patel "a hardworking student" who is certainly deserving of this honor.
