There are those in the Codger Community who might suggest that anytime you've got a gathering of 600 young people, well, trouble is brewing. Not so - at least where Young at Art is concerned. An exhibition of artwork by, yes, more than 600 kids (18 and under), Young at Art takes place in the Mystic Arts Center and kicks off with an opening reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. At 2 p.m., awards will be handed out in several categories and, along with ribbons and certificates.
The show runs through March 24. The MAC, at 9 Water St., Mystic, is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily; (860) 536-7601, mysticarts.org.
